I have worked in this practice for more than 21 years and know Drs. Leslie and Mahavadi to be knowledgeable, gentle, caring, generous, and phenomenal dentists. I am proud to be part of their team; I think of them like part of my family. Being a lifelong resident of this community, I know many of our patients and delight in catching up with all their life happenings when they come into the office.
My husband and I love spending time with our family, especially our grandchildren! We are involved in music ministry, and when I have free time I enjoy reading, cooking, and visiting new and interesting places.
I have been a part of Sunny Smiles Family Dentistry since 1998 and have enjoyed working with our dental family ever since. Dr. Leslie and Dr. Mahavadi have shown by example how important it is to be involved in the community and fostering its dental health. Our team has been together for a very long time and are more like a close family. I enjoy going to work at and am proud of this practice.
I have been married to my husband Phil for more than 27 years. We have three daughters, a son, and eight grandkids who keep us busy. I enjoy entertaining and helping friends with their social events, as well as working on our farmhouse and taking mini vacations.

Outside of the office, I enjoy walking and hiking in our beautiful West Virginia state parks, traveling, and getting together with family and friends.
I graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College in 2019 with a degree in dental assisting. Shortly after, I joined Sunny Smiles! I was drawn to this practice because of the family-like atmosphere that makes it so enjoyable to come to work. That same feeling is extended to our patients who share their lives with us for their dental care. I look forward to many years of working with this team where the oral health and comfort of our patients is our number-one priority. And in those years, I will look forward to meeting your family!
Personally, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My boyfriend and I travel as much as we can, whether it’s a quick nearby getaway or an adventure to a far-off destination. You might also see me at a local café, where I work as a waitress on the weekends.
I’ve been a part of Sunny Smiles since 2006. I enjoy seeing the way our doctors and team care for our patients and make them feel comfortable. My favorite thing about working in the dental field is watching a patient’s reactions when they see their newly restored smile! There’s nothing better than helping a person feel better about their smile!
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three kids. We have a farm with many animals to keep us busy, but when we have time, we love camping and seeing new places.
Hi! My name is Dixie. I began with Dr. Leslie in 2000 as a dental assistant and was inspired to become a dental hygienist. I am now back in the practice, working with patients one on one, and I absolutely love it! It’s so rewarding to see how clean my patients’ smiles are, and to know that I’ve put so much care into their health. I look forward to working with you and your family. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, stepdaughter, and four dogs. As a family, we enjoy vacationing in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and working on the farm. I am a member of and volunteer with the community fire department.

I began my dental hygiene career in 2006 and was pleased to join the Sunny Smiles Family Dentistry team in 2017. While I spend most of my time providing therapeutic care and education to my patients, I feel the most important part of my job is building personal relationships with everyone in my chair. My patients are so much more than that to me — they’re my friends and neighbors!
I am proud to have called this community home for more than 40 years. I enjoy being active in local sports, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, my church, and other local organizations.
